His horrific dancing aside, I feel Peter Crouch is undeserving of his label as a non-scoring striker. He will never be able to convince everybody of his physical appearance - he doesn't really strike terror like a Raul or a Shevchenko with his lanky frame and horselike-face. But he has put in fantastic performances for Liverpool with his seamless link-up play and who can forget that goal against Manchester United in the FA Cup? The one that broke that 85 year old jinx and helped us on our way to the final. He has also scored against the likes of Argentina and I am sure no one can argue he played brilliantly for the two warm-up friendlies. He has a surprisingly good touch.

In this world of Beckhams and Ljunbergs, Maldinis and Tottis, Peter Crouch is sure one hell of an ugly footballer. He just does not look the part of a professional footballer.
But by God do I love this man. Be honest with yourself, most of us can identify much more easier with this lad that we could with a celebrity ahtlete like Becks. Well, except for the fact that most of us are nowhere near two metres in height. I admire him for the 'everyman' atmosphere he brings, as if he was picked off the street and shoved into an England jersey with his flailing arms. And still play quality football - oh yes he does, don't you believe the sh!t critics say about him.
He is not Ronaldinho or Henry. But I don't give a damn because he's a 100% try-er and even though it took him more than 24 hours to open his club scoring account I was behind him all the way because of what he does for the team.
And fu ck yeah, that robot dance is embarassing and he should never do it again, save when he scores the winning goal against Brazil in the final. Then he can robo-dance till the Queen of England rolls over and pisses all over her skirt in sheer orgasmic delight for all I care. Most guys I know can't lay claim that they can dance any better than that anyway.
The great Bill Shankly once said how the people were not concerned with pretty football, but how they expected the players to give only their best in every match. That rings true for me with Crouch! Damn the Brazilians. Go Crouchinho.
