Robbie Fowler have to prove himself for the next six months and he is not in the national squad.
Therefore, I believe he will be more eager and hunger to prove himself to the fans.
He offers more options than Mickey mouse as he dun need any one to knock down the ball for him to strike.
His role in Liverpool team would be to unlock the defence and let the rest of the players to sneak a goal.
As for Mickey Mouse, I feel that his loyalty for Liverpool ran out the moment he step out of Anfield.
Mickey Mouse is still housing some injury and would not go all out to play so as to prevent injury from World Cup.
For Mickey Mouse, his focus is still to play for England and need reassurance for Sven to include him through favouritism.
Now, Liverpool is doing well and of course he want to come back.
Imagine Liverpool at Relegation zone, will he still want to come back ? -
I still prefer Alan Shearer.

fowler will be a better choice, he's a real striker in his younger days. i find owen is a opponuity player who happened to be standing in the right box and score. furthermore, owen is quite a selfish player.

Definitely Fowler!!! In the eyes of most liverpool fans, he's def a more fan favourite...Although he neve really shine for england, he's definitely a legend at liverpool....

Michael Owen is hoping to play a part in at least the last month of Newcastle's Premiership campaign after stepping up his recovery from a toe injury.
The 26-year-old England striker broke the fifth metatarsal bone in his right foot in the 2-0 defeat to Tottenham on New Year's Eve, but he has now regained a greater level of mobility after having a protective boot removed.
He told the club's official website: 'My recovery is going well.
'I have been on the exercise bike and can walk around in my trainers. Hopefully I will be able to start gently on the treadmill soon.
'The surgeon seems very happy that the pin is still in place and I want to be back for at least a month of the season.
'Climbing up the table is obviously the priority and the FA Cup still gives us a shot at silverware.'
Owen's injury was one of many that left Graeme Souness - sacked by the club on Thursday - short of numbers.
The former Liverpool and Real Madrid frontman has scored seven goals in his 10 Premiership starts for the Magpies to date.

there is no denying that owen is a few times better than all the strikers currently at liverpool. -

Imagine Ah Ben signing the mouse for 15 million pounds and letting him sit around instead of scoring goals.
