Debate is healthy only when one is willing to frist and foremost understand what one is looking for … or seeing ….. When one is looking for ….(?) one has already and idea or concept of what should be or should not be.
As for seeing – one’s idea of …. one’s concept of will most proably be useless.
One can look for ….. can one see for …?When one’s intelligence entangles with one’s social identification (with or of … ???) one has taken on, one’s ’’brain’’ is no longer in tandem with living and within oneself; probability is that it is against one’s way of living. Hence the misery and anguish.
Till the above is reconciled or acknowledged – one can debate till the cows come home – nothing doing excepting mind games lah (aka selective amnesia or selective deception)
As per usual... fugazzi ur post sometimes so difficult to understand :(
Harry potter is completely fictional, yet you can empathise with the characters when u read the books.
Anne Frank's diary is completely true, and you can also empathise with what happened.
The bible, The story about Hua Mula, Bodidharma and others are LEGENDS, they are neither here nor there. They could be completely true, and actullay happened in history, or they could be all made up. I believe that they are somewhere in between. You just need to separate what is meant to be taken literally, and what is figurative.

I want to answer, this question has been repeatedly asked on this forum. I have even dedicated a thread to this. Please check that thread. Unfortunately it has been locked, though I don't know why. I was hoping that discussions relating to this question can all be channeled to this thread.

Then who made humans?

Let's just talk about the Bible, how do you propose to separate fact from fiction, the literal from the figurative?

I think I know why, I think Fuzzi himself is also confused, in addition to a failure to communicate intelligibly! To the extent that even when the contradictions in his belief system is pointed out, he is happy to cling on to it! Problem is, he then chastised those who disagree as somehow deficient in understanding and comprehension. How to resonate with his ideas when the tune played is so garbled and his reasoning illogical?
To summer hill
I answered that question in another thread entitled: why humans create religions? It's on page 29 of that thread. Go read.

er... when i see ur reasoning... u also do not think that you are wrong when ppl point them out aint it? and u also clinged onto ur beliefs even though contradictions are pointed out. My reason for not understand wad fugazzi was posting is simply becos his english is way above my level to comprehend. It is just that simple. What i felt u have resorted to here is just word bashing him when he challenges ur christianity beliefs.

Many times what happens is that people here ASSERT that I am wrong, but did not show where the flawed reasoning is. And why did I cling to my beliefs? Simply because the contradictions weren't proven at all. I believe I have confronted and addressed the so-called contradictions pointed out by Tcmc and some others.
For what it's worth I don't think your English level is low, but I certaintly don't think Fuzzi's English level is so high that only the likes of him can know what is being said and the rest of us are awestruck by his cheemness. Not at all.
Fuzzi hardly made any point that challenges my Christian beliefs, whereas I have made many points that undermine his, to the extent that he even admits holding to contradictions and see it as a virtue! That's bizarre to me. And no, I don't think I am bashing him, more of bashing (demolishing) his views. And he sometimes simply parrots the same things from other threads and completely sidesteps the criticisms directed at his views.
i tink i nid to thank BIC more for letting me understand more about christians.

So what was that about?
God does not owe us anything? Very wrong. God owe us everything. If God did not create us, we will not be in this state. Every day, people have to worry about food, if not we will go hungry and starve to death. Why food is not easily available to us, we have to work for it. There are many many more but food is the basic one that God owe us. Better still if he either did not create humans at all or created humans who do not need to eat.
God will not owe us anything if he did not create us. Just like parents give birth to their children. The responsible parents will provide food without conditions and bring up the children. Look at the Africans, they were starved to death in millions.

Indeed God does not owe us anything at all. We are in this state ie fallen and cursed world, because of man's sin. Fact is, God has entrusted man with the stewardship of the whole earth, but it is again the sinful heart of man that has largely resulted in exploitation and unequal distribution of wealth and resources.
yes, God don't owe humans anything.........................but EVERYTHING..................
without humans...................there'll be no God....................
