of course I believe what I believe and you believe what you believe, and I am not asking you to believe mine, and there should no mix up in what we believe, at least on the issues that were raised....hehehehe
Originally posted by Demon Bane:Its not the Christian trinity for sure....anyway u can think whatever you like....the buddha said what u think will affect your own reality....so, for now we just cool it and focus on the Christian Trinity, becos this is still a christian forum, is it not ? Hahaha!
of course I think whatever I like and you say whatever you like, it is not what you think that reflect your reality, it is who you say that reflect what you think and what you believe....hahaha, if you really got heated up by this differences, then cool down.
Buddhists or people of any other faith can come to a christian forum to clarify matters that christians may have misunderstood, and non christians should also allow christians to clarify matters on christainity that are often misunderstood. anyway I don't own this forum.

there is no doubt about your academic knowledge about different religions, but you can't have a Christian perspective if you don't agree with Christianity, which is a decision i respect.
truely I would not say anything from a buddhist perspective because I am not a Christian.

Thought you just received a gift from the church.

don't think I am judging anybody, and there should not be any judging by anybody here. It is not for us to judge who would be saved and who would not, whether those baptized or not baptized can be saved, those who don't believe in what we believe, and many many other things discussed here.
Ultimately, no matter what rituals we go through, what knowledge we have, spiritual or academic, what intelligent decision we made through details analysis, it is God who sees the heart and it is He who judges.
This is for anybody who thinks I am judging them.
but it seems we can't help names and insults are exchanged instead of ping pong balls. ....

I believe that life is everlasting....yes at some point in time there's a creation, it depends on when you look at it...say I was born 25y ago, I should say "in my beginning" blah blah....I believe we all have previous existences and future lives...in different bodies.

Yes you have a point there....

By the way, christmas was taken from festivals from other religions in the past.
Decorating the tree, gift exchange and eating log cakes are all traditions of other religions.
Christians adopted these pagan practices.

sgdiehard,
I have heard many trinity christians say Mormons are not christians.
Yup I agree with you, To me Mormons are christians: non-trinity christians.
You are a trinity christian

sgdiehard,
You yourself said that "...who says the Mormons are not Christians? insinuating that Mormon are not christians is very slimmy, and rude."
So I am simply agreeing with you that Mormons (non-trinity christians) are indeed christians. It is very rude to say they are not christians.

I think I said it before, we are Christians, we may have different doctrines, we worship God in different ways...but we don't call ourselves christians baptized by immersion or trinity christians. The Bible doesn't make such a difference for us. You as a non believer, dont' give us name, that is very rude.

Oh. But there IS an official classification according to "non-trinitarian christian" and "trinitarian christian". You didnt know? I am not the one who classify you guys in that way. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trinity#Nontrinitarianism
Ok. at least we can agree that Mormons are christians too, just a different way :) Cheerrs.

you might as well say that there are unitarianist christian, modalist christians, binitarianist christians.....different in doctrines are discussed among those who believe in God, that is the fundamentals.
The way you view christianity, I need a powerful microscope to see before I would agree that you and I have anything in common.
cheers

Yes you are correct in those classifications you listed.
Yes of course we have to be detailed and specific. You cant just generalise right?
Ya but the "non-trinity andtrinity" classification is important because it defines who jesus is, according to the diff group of christians

To you Jesus as God doesn't exist, I respect that. Can you be detailed and specific about something that doesn't exist? your mind is playing tricks.

LOL.
I am being detailed about the denominations and different kinds of christians.....and they exist.
You cant differentiate between "jesus" and "different types of chrsitians"?
Why you lump both together? Are you reading properly?

trinity or non trinity is about God in one or 3 in 1, does God exist?

sgdiehard
Why you lump "jesus" and "different types of christians" together?
We are discussing about different types of christians and what they teach and their doctrines. So we can be detailed about that. Christians, teachings and doctrines all do exist, right?
We are not discussing "god".
Why you lump "jesus" and "different types of christians" together???

what lump "Jesus" and the "different types of christians together"?
what the christians are teaching in our doctrines is about God, you don't believe in God then the teachings and doctrines all have no meaning to you, why you want to discuss about who God is?
again I am not saying you are stupid, but may be you are very wu liao, talking about something that has no meaning to you.
