well, can u imagine if the original books or records of LKY are lost in future and 1000 years later ppl ask if he actually existed, how absurd does tat sound to ppl like us who live in the same era as him and hence noe he exist? but ppl 1000yrs later qn if he exist juz cos they could not find documented proof of his existence...

I am asking evidence for the "miracles" he did. NOT whether he existed.
Even if the originals of LKY books were lost, it would still make sense because LKY did not claim in his books that he healed people and ascended into heaven.

they twist the facts to blend their faith.
1) bible to them is already evidence. to question the bible is to question god to them and their faith is not strong enough.
2) the universe and earth would not function without a divine being in charge, it is impossible, so there must be a god.
3) they heard so many stories of god in action, like a disabled person in wheelchair suddenly able to stand up and work. if that is the case, why cant they replicate this to all those people who are unable to work then, I wonder?

Regardless of the bible is accurate, some believe more in the message. So you have archealogical and biblical evidences that some of the things are accurate, some are shaky. But does that mean the entire book is to be discreditted ? You guys talk on and on about how things should be accurate and without prejudice, but how come it does not seem to apply to yourselves or your own factual assertions ?

You are right on the first two points.
On point no 3, we heard stories and we experienced the presence of God. But we can't replicate the work because they were done by God. If God obeys and replicates because you ask for it, then you may as well be God.

Your arguments have loopholes.
1. If experiences and stories can validate the existence of gods, then may I ask if the hindus', muslims' and taoists' experiences validate their gods too? Well they can say that they can't reproduce the work because their gods did it. So if your experiences validate your god, does it mean their experiences also validate their god?
2. Actually rooney was trying to be sarcastic with you about point 1 and 2. Just because the universe is big and complicated, it doesnt mean Gods are the ones who did it. There could be lots of other reasons too.

BadzMaro, just what are the archaeological evidence in the bible that are accurate? Please point out some.
I would want to learn too.
Also if there are indeed archaoelogical evidence in the bible, it just proves that the bible is accurate in terms of archaeology and recording. It doesnt prove the existence of an invisible being. Archaeology does not prove gods.

If I am god, then I will be merciful to everyone, for a start, I will create a wonderful world where there is no suffering. but then on second thoughts, why would I want to create something out of nothing for my leisure, pleasure, etc? I would not do that. heck I may make myself de-exist, cos if you do not exist, nothing happens.

why don't you ask the hindus, the muslims and the taoists about their experience? why ask a christian?

cos tcmc believes christianity is by evidence nt by faith...have evidence then i believe...in the 1st place, evidence goes wif knowledge not believe...faith goes wif believe...btw tcmc, i replied to this thread cos of the TS...my intention wasnt to reply to u...so i will leave it badzmaro and the rest...the holy trinity explanation is one of my fortes but nt the evidence of miracles tat u are asking for...

I am asking for evidence for the authencity of the bible, to prove that the contents of the bible are accurate and that the contents are the same as the contents 2000-4000 years ago. Please prove that. I want to learn.
