So what if the bible was "earlier" then the quran? Does that make the bible more correct??? Well, some hindu scriptures and buddhism are all earlier than christianity. Greek religions and norse religions are all earlier than christianity too.

Yes I was actually a "charismatic" christian. Did all that slain in the spirit thing.
It's a lot of emotions,and mind games. You see people doing it, so you do it. If you dont get slain, you look like you're not "holy" because in these churches, to get slain is a good thing.
But from a scientific point of view, its a lot of learning, conditioning and peer pressure to "perform". And yes some of them do go into a trance, just like how mediums from other religions go into trances.
Take note though that christians are split on this. Some think "slain in the spirit" is biblical. Some dont think so. :)

How about the Buddhism perspective of "three treasures"....namely the Buddha, the Dharma, the Sangha ? Why 3 ? Same analogy for "Trinity" in Christianity ? It takes all 3 to work...?

I think we should look at the similarities of all religions and not the differences....I mean all major religions have the same objective....that is leading people to happiness...

Not necessarily. Religion doesnt necessarily make people happier.
Look at oppressed women in the middle east and atheists fighting for their rights in christian america.

But yes there are many religious people who are happy too, because of their religions.

Afterall, happiness is most important....few people will stay in the religion if they are unhappy...almost all will leave and look for the religion that can lead them to happiness....

1. Yes christianity has copied a lot of scriptures from judaism. Also, many similarities between buddhism and christianity. buddhism is 500 years earlier.
2. Do you also know that there are other trinity Gods before and after christianity?

How many people are honestly happy? I mean we have to work like a dog to pay for our housing, then car, then costs of having a family....etc. Its so hard to be happy with so much reality in place...unless we make big bucks (which most of us are not)....

I already knew this. Hinduism also got trinity, they existed for at least 5000 years in India. that said, if you asked me if there were earlier religion than Hinduism, there were, like shamanism, praying to nature etc.

There's trinity in Egyptian religion too which is before christianity. Very interesting.
When I was in church my pastor taught me that all the other trinities in other religions were all "satanic" and he said only the christian trinity is real.
I was quite shocked then

well thats what other religion also claimed their's is correct and all are false.
so the question is these, whose claim is true

if you ask me, the god concept is flawed from the outset, cos it was invented by mankind due to their ignorance of the world and universes, cos science and technology then were non existent during that era. they do not have the knowledge we now know.

Ultimately its about peace of mind and happiness....if can't find that, time to look for other religious alternatives....

not only do that, insight and wisdom are equally important. if the religion is the truth, why scare to challenge the truth. you are encouraged to challenge and think for yourself. you dun come out with wild statements like other religion is satanic and false and your religion is the truth.
