How to play DVD in DVD-ROM?

  i can't play DVD movie in my DVD-ROM. can anyone help?
  
  must i set the region code on the DVD-ROM or something?
  i've window media player 9 and quicktime.

  2nd u must hav DVD software

  Try to upgrade to Windows Media Player 10 and see if it works.

  might be codecs... update and see how...
  
  could also be the region setting as said ealier...
  
  DVD has 8 diff regions if i dun remember wrongly... could also have no region setting...

  use PowerDVD or WinDVD to play

  go search for this program, SlySoft AnyDVD
  
  install then it'll prompted u to reboot.
  
  This program will help to break region and protection codes too

  I also cant play DVD movies leh, then I have to dl a trial version of powerDvD and another dunno what DVD software to watch, then 30 days over cannot watch anymore
  
  makes no sense to me leh....how come got DVD Drive still must use an extra software to watch movie?
  
  but who cares, I dl a cracked version of powerDVD and watch now

  i still cannot play DVD movie. why?
  
  my DVD-ROM is comfirm ok cos sometimes the DVD got DVD-ROM features, that 1 i can play. just that why cannot play DVD movie? the DVD-ROM cannot detect the movie and autorun it.
  
  if i explore the DVD by opening the DVD (open the DVD drive) what file should i click to watch the movie? since autorunning won't work, may as well try manually opening it.

  i downloaded PowerDVD and it finally WORKS! thanks a lot guys! but the PowerDVD is trial 30 days only.

  I dled the cracked version from my school's file sharing network. maybe you can try kazaa or suprnova.org(using bit torrent)

  can i use SlySoft AnyDVD to crack the PowerDVD trial version so that i can forever use it after 30 days?
