Xbox 2 and ps3 rumoured specs

  silly_me.are u refering to this specs when u said the ps3 will be better than xbox 2?xbox will probably use Three IBM-designed 64-bit microprocessors, the same chips now used Apple Computer's high-end G5 PowerMac. According to the Merc, this will give the new Xbox "more computing power than most personal computers." which mean it has the power of a supercomputer,is cell technology better?dont think so.

  And I have read somewhere that this cell architecture allows for multiple cells to work as a grid. It is something quite beyond what we have now. The components with these cell chips will communicate with each other and thereby enhance processing.
  
  Sony is not just thinking about a gaming machine alone...they are trying to integrate home entertainment. And these cell chips are not solely created just for the PS3...it is going to be a multi purpose chip.

  Cell will be more powderful It is design from ground up to make use of true parallel processing. Xbox still use back old Ati graphics.

  Hey guys, do you know that current xbox uses nvidia technology for their graphics.
  
  YesÂ…ATI technology IS NOT compatable to nvidia technology! Your current investment of software will go down the drain when xbox 2 comes out because the graphcis drivers are not compatable....OR Microsoft will probably offer upgradesÂ…at a cost no doubt. Typical of Mr Gates I supposeÂ…the shrewdess businessman in the world.

  I think the incompatibility issue surfaced because of the different CPU that is rumoured to be in Xbox 2. Xbox uses Intel, whereas Xbox 2 uses the PowerPC.

  Actually microsoft plans to have some kind of emulation in Xbox2 so that Xbox titles can be played. But can you imagine those rich graphics being emulated. I think I read somewhere that the software companies themselves are sceptical about this emulation. They kind of prefer to redo the graphics for the new Xbox2....yes upgrades. Anyway...microsoft is known to do magic...they will probably be able to solve this minor problem.......at our expense of course
