if video card is spoilt, the logical thing to do is to buy a new 1 loh..
normally if u can get to desktop, but the image is all messed up, most properly your video card is burnt.
if u can't even startup, check your ram or processor. -

here's what you can try.
open up your pc casing.
remove all pci cards and memory (DIMM/SIMM)
plug them in again.
perhaps it's just a piece of hardware not seated properly
also check that all fans are spinning. especially the system board's -
