Ó32 QJHere's something nice to start the week with! Remember that CGI tr from a few months ago where hot babes from Final Fantasy and Dead or Alive were pitted against each other in one super kickass death match? Hellzyeah. We sure can't forget it indeed.
Now, here's the sequel to that: animator Monty Oum gives us Dead Fantasy 2.
The video picks up right where the previous clip ended, and from that point on, it's 11 full minutes of orgasmic action. More punches and kicks are thrown around, including the occasional magic too, with Rikku, Yuna, and Tifa representing the FF fandom and Kasumi, Ayane, and Hitomi for the DoA crowd.
Here's the catch though. Three new characters are added into the Brawl - err, brawl, rather. We won't spoil you - our own jaws dropped when the new challengers appeared in the arena. And by the time you reach the end, you're treated - and teased - with one heck of a cliff hanger.
Man, when's the next vid coming out? Monty Oum mentioned that there are at least five more installments to his little project and he promises that we're in for quite a ride in the coming episodes of Dead Fantasy. -
this dead fantasy video is awesome. but i don't know one of the characters on the DOA side. the one wielding a hude age or sickle or sth liddat.
and wth is kairi doing in the ff team..tsk..

Haha...Kairi is from SquareEnix....same company.....
as for the sickle woman......i think her name is rachel.....hmmmm....but dunno from where also....

yeah i know, but its a FF not a squaresoft game.. tsk.. she looks so out of place being a cartoonish character.

hmmmm....yeah...but i think its cool though coz being a fan of both FF and Kingdom Hearts, i support the square-enix team...hahaha...but the opposition also like pity...........hmmmmmi wished they make a Guy version Featuring Cloud and other square-enix heroes + some of those from Nintendo's Brawl and Xbox 360's Lost Oddesy guy versus the bad guys from the same companies....hoooooo.......

arghh......i love FF....the storylines all....got emotional stuff.......i've always like the background musics by square...........they just give you that feeling that you are in the universe....i wish i could work for square one day..........i think FF is a great piece of art......

aye, why didn't you play ff7?
i like 8,9 and 10 more though, but 9 was damn short and easy to complete..tsk.. and to me its gone backwards after 8.
i didnt try 12, though i have it with me.

yea, i actually downloaded their orchestral soundtracks.
when i save up money, someday i will buy em all just to collect even though i have it already.

I wanna play Crisis Core!!! Argh!
Coz ff7 disc was with my cousin and now its LOST! T_T
I like 8's storyline...9 is kiddish but the theme was interesting...10 was sad but really meaningful..
12 is a very political ff...something which i didn't expect much...as in too many controversies and politics...as compared to the previous ffs
I still love the music though by Nobuo Uematsu...amazing guy who composes amazing soundtracks...you gotta love the man...
Graphics wise i think it was a downgrade from 8 to 9...but 10 onwards was relatively ok though costumes and look headed more to the native pattern designs...overall the team still impresses me with their details =D
But ff12 system is really different...so it takes some time to get used to...the bosses are more tricky to fight...and you need more "Strategy" based formations rather than the usual select and attack/magic/GF option...its very challenging

arghhh........i wished i could play FF13 when it comes out......and i wished they'd do a remake for FF7......oh yeah i think there will still be if not one maybe a few.......titles for the compilation of FF7 i think....coz genesis is still alive and all and if i'm not wrong, they are gonna open the world of FF7 for 20 years probably starting from the first game which makes it 9 years and within for them to make games for it........you guys know about the connection between the FF7 and 10 world?

FF13 on ps3...delayed till 2009 =(

yeah 10 was sad, but nice, although you can get the happy ending in X2. especially the scene where tidus and yuna are in the pond and they started playing suteki da ne.
12 didn't appeal to me, from the characters looks to the trailers.
9 was a cartoonish sort of fun, from the kidnapping plot to the usual save the world story. plus vivi is cute..
yeah i agree, nobuo uematsu is a genius, but sad that FF decided to make him co produce with another guy on 12 was it? and he has since left i think.
I really enjoyed the tour da japon concert in youtube. the music is soothing and overall just great to listen to, like melodies of life.
to me, the only nice costume in 10 was luna and rikku's one.

Hmmm...12 certainly was more for "matured players" give a 15 year old kid and i think he will be asleep with the storyline =/
FF9's Musical was so fun! Especially the sword fighting part where they had the V' alle Flamenco song and the Chocobo was so cute!!! *KWEEEHHHH*

I found that 12 deviated alot from the usual FF that i've grown to love, but seeing the trailers of 13 i guess it would be continuing from there onwards. Even read that the usual turn based strategy would be slightly different. not sure why they wana change it too. tsk..
Yeah the bgm of most FF's are what makes it nice to play especially during the boring parts, in ff8 i remember setting up the concert by selecting specific characters to play a certain instrument.
Yeah, i went to hmv once and the ff osts are all damn ex. must start drawing a salary again before i can afford. i believe there should be a cd or dvd for tour da japon, now that you mentioned it, i must try to find. i think it was one of his last works for final fantasy.

Hahaha...any Japanese OST/DVD imported into Singapore has the same cut-throat price. Most people choose to go to Japan to get the CDs which are definitely cheaper...the only problem is finding it...cause more than half the time they are either OOS or sold at designated stores...

I think the Ff13 battle system is similar to that of 12.
aye most of the osts sold here in Singapore is either the malaysian rip or the taiwanese one. i guess the japan one is really impossible to get here unless you import. but i think if a fan really wants to collect should go for the original japanese version. i want to bring in also duno which website to buy from. ff9 itself has like 4cds, but since they did come out the cs for the concert 20022002 or sth liddat i'm guessing tour da japon should have. only where.

i tried searching amazon, they don't have it. only the 20020202, black mages, symphony suite and piano collections among the rest of the osts..
damn, maybe really don't have if not so long until now still no signs of it.

I think chances are very slim =( usually they will produce a limited amount and sell within that span in time...sigh =(
