I think you have to activate your wii serial number on the website first. then whatever you buy the points is auto stored. you can see them in the wii shop.
all you need is a visa debit or credit. type in the card details, choose the points u wanna buy, and there you have it!
Set to US also can, but you'll need to come up with the fake US address for verification. Brazil more direct, no need any verification, just use the card detail nia. after that if you just like being US, you can still switch ur country back and the points will still be there.
yeah. the wii doesn't have a lot of space. Use a SD card to store you game data, or your channel backups! now SD card cheap cheap, easy easy you can get 2gb. 2GB quite enough liao.
Yes, either SD, MiniSD or MicroSD, as long as you plug in with the adapter to make it a SD card size, it works!
I'm not really sure where you should buy your Wii from. Maybe do some comparison shopping or summat?
Japanese version interface isn't really that hard to understand once you get used to it. After awhile, you will automatically know what button means yes, no, etc.
Downside is that if you have a modified Wii and accidentally accept a wrong firmware update, you could brick your Wii. >.>

Yeah... Holding originals... But i still thinking about my Free-loading software.... If that one can allow me to play pirated then SUPER liao... But then again.. I think I'm not that anxious because I've got too many games on hand and not much time to play them....?
Originally posted by FlameTakuya:About that 'software' that allows you to play games from other regions, do you mean the Freeloader disc?
It only allows you to play original games from other regions, but not pirated games. ^^;
Oh.. Thanks alot man... In that case, I shall not invest on that....
Originally posted by cuddles:I think a typical US/local wii set should still be 600+ comes with a single wiimote and nunchunk.
you can buy a second wii-mote together with wiiplay for around 70-80 bucks.
if you don't understand jap, get a US/Local Set! :P since someone mentioned you can *ahem* any set anyway..
Get a Jap/ Asian set cheaper.. Then use the Freeloader software on it.....
Something to note:
The big N just released a firmware update yesterday, namely 3.3U.
If you update your Wii with it, you will not be able to use the Freeloader disc anymore. (It's only been a few months, and the thing's become useless already)
So if anyone here is using Freeloader, make sure you don't do an online update if you don't want to stop using Freeloader.

Yeah.. Make you pay to use the internet connection and use it against you for piracy!
Btw, anybody tried playing online with other players...? How does that work?
Hello everyone.
I bought a modified wii from taiwan (jap) recently and have some questions. Would any of the more experienced users answer them please?
1) I've read that US wiis cannot play Jap games and vice-versa. Does this also happens to a modded wii? Or can the modified wii play everything?
2) When buying the wii, the shop owner told me that some of the pirated games cannot be played. This has to do with something about the forced updates and hence rendering the game useless. What are some of these games?
Thanks!

US/local wiis can't play jap games due to region coding. modd wii should be able to play all regions.
I don't know about those games that can be played or not on modd wii.. so can't help with that.
allrite thanks!

Question 1.
This is from what I HEARD ok? Modded wii works the same... Jap can't play US and US can't play Jap... But I've also heard that some of those modded ones CAN... Meaning they've already done something which breaks the regional code...
Question 2.
Not sure ley? But my personal guess is maybe it has something to do with internet update through Wii system? They can do lots of shit with that.. So if you wanna play safe, don't do internet update if you're using a modded Wii..
Main reason people mod is to play pirated/downloaded games and games from other regions.
Although some games from certain regions can't be played on certain Wiis. (Special cases)
Examples are: Super Mario Galaxy (US) cannot be played on JP Wii, Modified or not modified. Cooking Mama USA is the same too, I believe.
I'm not so sure about your second question, but perhaps it is because sometimes updating your wii from a game disc (As in, when you insert a disc it asks you to update before you can play) has a chance of bricking your Wii.
The most reliable way is do update from the internet. Check online regularly to see if it is safe to update to a new version.
