Actually, in my opinion, everything now involves money although some in the surface looks free.
Take soccer as example. Becks is earning crazy money rite now. Money that could have saved thousands and thousands of people of misfortune.
And games. Runescape, Maple Story, Ragnarok. On the surface they looked free. But some games requires you to purchase Pre-paid Cards in order to have advantage over others who do not purchase Pre-paid Cards. Also, gamers take take advantage of such games to earn money by selling items and accounts. Who suffers? Of cos it's the XDD and XMM who are guilible and especially guys whom like to show off and "prove" to others that they're strong in the game. Those people like to gain recognition but in doing so, they are highly likely to be duped into purchasing items at a very high price.
A fren of mine play Maplestory just to earn money. He sold off his account to a young primary school boy for SGD$700! Dats crazy man. How can a kid spend so much money on a game without his parents acknowledgement? Apparently his sister PAID for him. My fren did hand over his account but! A week after the transaction, he report loss of account to Asiasoft and got his account back.
That poor boy spent $700 on nothing.
I'm not against people who plays Maple Story but as a whole, do you think it's sensible to purchase something digital for that amount of money? For all you know, tha game might ceased to exist 5 years from now and you'll look back and reflect how silly you are.

Do note that note all Maplers are this bad. And it's the boy's fault too. He should've read the rules and agreements, they have already stated that everything in the game, including accounts and items, belong to Asiasoft and they have no rights to sell it. there was another game sorta like a lousier version of diablo. only within the asian region, was quite popular too.. And people we paying real money for game items. Then when some peeps discovered that the gamemasters were making money by selling ridiculously powerful items to players, they all boycotted the game

The makers of the game did not put a gun to your head and force you to buy the prepaid cards. Its people themselves who take money out from their own pockets to buy.
And besides, not everyone does "kill-stealing", your like aiming everyone who plays it a "kser".

I stopped playing Maple Story once i reach level 35 because it's such a sore to level up so it's impossible for me to sell that account for $700.
Anyway, come to think of it, will the kid be that rich enough to purchase something that costs so much for his age unless he's really rich? I'm not saying that my fren is not at fault but it takes 2 hands to clap. When there's a demand, there're bound to be offers being made.
