in windows vista, one no longer have to browse through long list of programs under the Start menu to find the games one wants to play. a new gaming explorer menu will appear inside the Start bar that shows all the games installed inside the PC with their respective boxart.
it can also let parents block mature rated games and automatically tracks patches and game updates.

not only that. microsoft is planing to standardise and market all PC games as "Games for Windows".
heck, they are even coming out with a magazine next month. -
