you know that for every xbox microsloth sold, they made a loss of US$100 at one time?
manufacturing will catch up and the costs will drop...
also, the main thing Sony is looking at is licensing royalties.. that'll make up for the losses..
let's see how Sony plays this out.. coz i would hate it if only 1 main console is left in the console wars.. -

btw, those who are waiting for the pirated games.. remember this: the HD-DVD and Blu-Ray DVD fight hasn't even started yet...
i would think the pirates are not about to sink millions into pressing either types about yet.. and probably not until the fight is won by one or the other..
and.. HD-DVD and Blu-Ray DVD drives cannot read the other disc -
currently one blu ray disc cost abt 50 sg right?

Sony is known for having screwed-up first version hardwares.
The PS2/PSP are prime examples.
It is better to wait till they sort out the hardware and lower the price first. -

no point buying PS3 right now.WHY?
thing is,when u buy a console,u expect it to come with a good game ..especially when the PS3 costs 1kSGD +++.
Furthermore,Blu-ray supports High definition DVD's and only a few DVD's sold in SG supports high definition.So,still have to wait the Movie industry in SG to start releasing high definition DVD's
Top notch games like Final Fantasy XIII and Metal Gear Solid 4 will be released next Jan. 2007,so it would be a worthwhile time to stick to your PS2 for the time being.
As said,sony's products have a mysterious illness of initial product glitches.So it's better to play safe by being patient for the time being.
hence,it's practical to wait and purchase the PS3 next January 2007 -
