FFIV Advance Updates
From the link, these are the updates for the FFIV Advanced released in USA 12/12/2005. These includes
-Being able to choose your characters AFTER Tower of Babil.
-Choose between Yang, Cid, Palom, Porom, and Edward
-Cecil MUST stay in your party (story purposes)
-Cid is a HOSS. Massive XP + Defense. MORE than Cecil, who when I maxed his level, was at 9,400 HP
-Edwards accuracy is amazing, more status effects
-Yang, Cid, Rosa, Rydia and Cecil are said to be a powerhouse team, Yang and Cid replacing Kain and Edge! O_O
-Eight Level Dungeon holding each of the 5 new ultimate weapons, and good armour for new characters!
-The character must be present for you to get their new ultimate weapon (must make at least two trips)
-Gaurded by upgraded versions of other monsters.
-Cid's "Thor's Hammer" make's it possible for him to cast Thundaga when he is struck without using MP.
-Yang's "Hand of God" adds statistics, and had the holy effect.
-Edward's Apollo Harp adds a special bonus effect.
-Once Zeromus is defeated, The Lunar Ruins pop up, the new 50 level dungeon. (INCREDIBLY DIFFICULT)
-Cannot be conquered in a single trip
-Nine sealed gates, which each character posseses (Palom and Porom count as one)
-That gate is only unlocked once they participate in defeating Zeromus, and that character must be in your party.
-First few levels of the dungeon are Evil Masks and Behemoths.
-Later on, you can face Great Malboro's, King Bomb's, and Lamia Queens.
-At the end, you will face magic dragons, Worst Malboro's, and Great Behemoths, each with rougly 50,000 HP a PIECE.
-At the end of each, there is a trial at the end. Yang has to fight dozens of monks, Cecil to determine the path of the Paladin, Cid plays Crazy Taxi, Rydia must win back the trust of the summons.
-Once each characters trial is completed, they must face Lunar versions of Rydia's summons, much like Dark Aeons (90,000-120,000 HP EACH!)
-Defeating each gives you Grimoires, and once all nine are collected, they can be used to access the final boss.
(Possibly KluYa, the reviewer didn't mention who the final boss was, but said it's a major suprise)
All in all, this game looks like it could have upwards of 80+ hours of gameplay, half of which is AFTER you're done with the Tower of Babil.
