Whats the life expectancy....

  Whats the life expectancy for a hard disk?Do anyone know the recommended range for replacing it, longer than that any system/performance loss and the max life which after that the hard disk will stop functioning?
  
  Also whats the maximum data storage cap for flash drive and the price range for them?

  just remember to do disk clean-up, defragmentation every few months and reformat your PC to keep your hard disk in tip-top form, or at least extend its performance longer.

  reformat means clear out all datas....
  i want to know how long can a hard disk with data survive till it fail...

  it won't fails if u don't do anything to it. like hit by viruses, or u keep on shaking the CPU while it is still running.
