PS2 Hardware/Repair Problem

  I was playing Dynasty Warriors 5 when my screen just suddenly hang.
  
  I resetted my PS2 but found out that the disc tray cannot be ejected.
  
  Has anyone experienced such problems before? What can I do to open the disc tray, other than sending it for a repair?
  
  This is really screwed up 'cos my PS2 broke down on me on the 1st week that I had bought it. I had to pay $50 to repair it 'cos the warranty was only for the 1st 3 days. Now it's playing games with me again... Urgh!

  By the way do you know of any shops that does repairs on the spot? I don't really wanna wait a week for the PS2 to be sent to the workshop blah blah...

  You can try the shop at tampines. Think they might repair on the spot.

  I tried opening my PS2, but the furthest I got was unscrewing the screws. I couldn't open it after unscrewing the 8 screws, so I decided that that was enough.

  ur ps2 motherbroad version shouldn't be a problem is it ps2 slim??? u try putting it standing

  50006 is obviously not a PS2 Slim model right?
  
  I've tried making the PS2 stand vertically, but the tray still doesn't eject. When I press the eject button, the blue light just flickers but the tray doesn't open.

  oh ya is still the bluky version. anyway u try resting the set while ejecting then when loading standing coz ps2 read the cd better while standing

  PS2 and PS2 Slim can play same games ma... I'd rather repair it... Can't sell it for nuts now.

  Sigh bo ko leng... I'm still schooling, without a part time job. I paid for my own PS2, so if I were to buy the PS2 Slim, I'd probably go totally broke after that.
