Do you think that it is about time DVD-ROM take over CD-ROM?

  when i look at the games sold nowadays, most of them comes in 3CDs or more. is it about time for games to be released in DVD-ROM format instead of the low capacity CD-ROM?
  
  btw, just a show of hands how many of u don't have DVD-ROM drive here?

  I doubt DVD-ROMs will take over CD-ROMs just yet. It just seems far in the offering. Not that it is unlikely but just not now.
  
  Anyway, I got a Samsung DVD+/-RW drive for the PC I build last year.

  maybe u all can consider buying a DVD-ROM drive for your next computer/upgrade. afterall a DVD-ROM is relatively cheap nowadays.

  all i can remember is that dvd compared to cds , are cheaper per MB ..

  i have a DVD-ROM/ CD-RW combo. bought it for only $90+. i think a DVD-ROM drive alone will be much cheaper.
