  dunno abt the stable part..my 98 seems to be more stable than xp...
  but i do have a complaint though....i cant use new stuffs from microsoft update...
  
  but i still like my 98.....seems to be faster coupled with netscape navigator...
  
  cant wait to use linux though

  I made the jump from Win 98 ME to XP PRO ...and no looking back.
  
  Sure XP got its fault, but its damn stable, consider its from M$
  
  Also note...use XP Pro edition ONLY not XP Home edition

  guess u referring to Win ME.....its not win 98 ME...win 98 came out as a replacement to ME due to its quirks...its up to how the user configures his OS arh...i've known ppl who's XPs were so blardee slow.....hangs for no reason....and other such problems...
