help!! Steam prob

  eh.. i lost my CD key for Halflife but i got a steam account so.. when i reformat my com and install steam, do i need my original Cd key?? i have created the steam account ,so can i plae without the cd key ??

  u just need to re download HL from steam if i'm not wrong..
