Finally bought the game. but took me 3 hours to update steam and unlocking Half-life 2 source files before i can finally play the game.
half-life 2 require internet connection to set up your steam account in order to play the game. no matter whether u play online or not, u still need to log on to download a lot of files to unlock/play the single player game.
even me a boardband user took 3 hours to finsih all the download. i wonder how a 56k modem user is going to cope?
gonna play the game tomorrow.

As for the game, i have to say its definetly the best single-player fps for now... its weapons and gameplay are top notch.
i would wish to complete it quickly though.. for some reason it gives me[and many other people] motion sickness.
So if you own the game and feel dizzy after playing awhile, u can try this command:
sv_cheats 1
fov 90
fov i believe stands for field of vision. HL2's default fov is 70, CS and CS:S has a default fov of 90.
i can play longer without wanting to puke now

how much is it online?, I bought mine for 70 bucks at tecdrome
btw i've been trying to update my steam client all day without any luck...the highest i got was 81% and then it just stood still....anybody can help? i've tried opening ports, disconnecting my router etc but still no go......i'm getting fucking pissed. I'm with Starhub -

On Vertical Sync too.. helps alot if u get giddy.. especially on the air boat...
as for Steam problems, go to their forums.. maybe u could get some help..
i use maxonline 1500, am behind the router.. no need to open any ports to get the game to work -

I also bought mine at cyberactive. took me 2 full hrs before i can start the game. My requirement bearly make it so its bit laggy. -
me too. my com only P III 1Ghz. their requirement is 1.2Ghz, but i still can play the gaem. but loading is kinda slow.
