  actually the new redesigned "slimline" PS2 looks pretty good
  Heard some people say it has slightly improved load-times and graphics (not sure which particular aspect of graphics) too..

  PS2 have better games, XBOX have better graphics + online gaming, GC is pretty hopeless unless u love Zelda, Metroid, Mario and Pokemon

  it would be wise to get xbox
  
  firstly the original games are cheaper
  
  secondly with konami releasing games on xbox, there are as many sports games on it as PS2. so getting xbox yields more value and the processor/graphics is relatively better in xbox than in ps2.
  
  Thirdly, xbox got harddisk. ps2 you got to buy memory cards and memory cards are fragile and quite ex( $35 a piece).
  
  So if you like playing sports games get xbox.

  If you like RPG games , get Playstation 2.. If you want graphic nice , get X-box
  but now microsoft is trying very hard to promote X-box even the most popular game winning eleven 8 was launched...
