A college student in a philosophy class was taking his first examination. On
the paper there was a single line which simply said:
"Is this a question?" - Discuss.
After a short time the student wrote: "If that is a question, then this is an
answer."
The student received an "A" on the exam. -
Why didn't he just put," Yes."? -

The other students wrote a long thesis on if that question is a question while this guy wrote the answer in a sentance.

Maybe the question was worth only 2 marks.
Rendering an answering like "Yes" may score probably only half the marks.

actualli this reminds me of something i heard but dunno if true or not.
theres an exam essay question "wat is courage?" and one of the students actuali jus wrote "this is courage." on the paper and handed it up. he got an "a" as well.
but i guess in both cases the students were realli gamblers.. they realli could haf scored a perfect zero for their answers!
