looks=chemistry for guys

hi,
I have some guy friends whom always claim to have chemistry with more attractive girls while those who are average looking, the guys would claimed that they have no chemistry with these girls and see them only as friends.
but i feel its because they are attracted to the girl's appearance , which makes them develop or experience "chemistry" with the girl
in this case, is physical attractiveness a component of chemistry to guys?

Depends on their definition of "chemistry"
Sometimes people can have the spark which ignites a chemical reaction wayyy after they first knew each other.
Appearance would be more of a pre-requisite lah, but then after time people can tend to forgo their pre-requisites when the chemistry comes
so in a nutshell it all depends on one's definition of chemistry.

attractive girls always attract guys.
but average looking fellow can attract girls too.
what averge looking guy can do is touch up on their confidence level, the way they speak. most importantly how you dress(Presentable).

I do not find very attractive girls (those very pretty ones) appealing to me, instead, i like those ordinary or pleasant looking ones.
In fact, i focus more on the character than looks

You are just like everyone else.
In your terms you are attracted to the "ordinary or pleasant looking ones" but you are not to those "ugly or pretty ones"
Which means looks still matters to you. Just that you dont fall into the stereotype of guys who like pretty girls.
