Maybe they want to feel "wise" by displaying their contentment in the newspapers. End of the day, I don't think they will be able to find any satisfaction and peace within themselves.
Don't be surprised that alot of people around us does that kind of things nowadays....really many people.
They always forget or maybe they don't know that it is not by Actions alone which will transform them to Become the person that they wanted to become. They need to first become the person that they wanted to be, then their actions will follow accordingly and naturally.
"Leg step onto firm ground" (Please help me to translate this into Chinese...my Chinese is poor) is still the best way to go.
Some people tries so hard to fly high and get themselves promoted into management position, but deep inside their hearts they only want to play with their transformer toys and ruined the entire management hierarchy when they found out they do not possessed the mentality to become a people's person.
But I'm sure our ruling party government is wise enough to filter out those candidates who are not suitable to govern in their respective government/political positions and recruit those who are committed to prosper the country.
Maybe that's the huge difference in the candidate selection between the ruling party and the opposition parties.

Now recession, $4K very hard to get. $2K+ hard to survive cos cost of living high- after CPF, deduct food, transport, bills, give parents- nothing left! Can date but cannot marry, no money for saving, how to buy HDB flat, pay for wedding??

some people need to spend more especially those with health prob. some medicine can cost up to $2 per tablet. -
