the effects not bad lah...storyline is same as b4, the writer practically use the 'Replace' function of Word and replace all the past characters' names with new ones. nothing has changed since armageddon...nothing is new. just instead of pure hurricane or pure flood, it combines a few disasters.
worth watching if u are into effect, if u are into storyline, i rather u watch ur armageddon vcd or Independence day.
another reason why New York city is used again and again is so that the texturing and graphics maybe can be re-used again and again. maybe some graphics created but not used for Armageddon and Independence Day can be used now loh....save time going around taking pictures and rendering textures. -

Special Effects:
Nice build up from the intro to the total washout of New York. But somehow it ends with a whimper since the disaster wiped out oni the northern hemisphere.
Estee and I love the cinematography of the various landmarks of New York being submerged under the ice/snow. Like when Dennis and his partner find themselves walking acreoss the sea and bypassing the statue of liberty.
Acting:
It's a show abt disasters c'mon.
Popcorn
Air con
Sibeh leng.... moreover the later part of the show shows the city covered with ice.... added the feeling of coldness inside. Good thing we hold hands tight tight. -
i'll give it a 4.5/10
watch Deep Impact (showing this coming Monday nite)...i thgt it's much better...
then again, watching it on TV versus cinema will have a totally different effect and feel altogether...still, watch it lor...it's moving....

just came back from watching the midnite movie of this show
not a bad show
a few parts quite expected...but still cool
agree tat after watching all the snow, the cinema air con seems very cold today
maybe they trying to create the cold effect too
overall worth my $8.50 plus popcorn money -
The idea of global warming is cool... especially when it had been an environment topic lately. Could make ppl more aware of our natural environment and what it could do to us.
Lots of special effects.... but it was quite slow paced... Could get bored at certain parts. It's quite monotonous as there wasn't really any climax of the movie... The ending didn't have an impact. Left me a few question marks though ???? lol
