what i heard is that: despite our donations to NKF, the kidney patients still gotta pay for their dialysis treatment.
our donation is only subsidising their treatment, not fully pay for their treatment that makes it free for those patients.
is that true? -

how many % goes to the telco? how many % goes to the IVR technical provider? how many % goes to the NKF management and staffs as their employment perks and welfare? how many % goes to whatever NKF is gonna used for other than to the kidney patients that we're not aware of? and how many % then actually goes to the kidney patients? -

Ya they have reserve but if thats the case i dun understand why they turn away quite alot of ppl who are trying to get treatment thou they have the money to help?

there was one article i read somewhere, not abt NKF, but abt a charitable organisation in the UK.
i can't remember the whole thing, but it went something like this: it's abt a rich man there who every month donates the whole of his monthly income to a single charity organisation.
similarly to SG, tax rebate is granted for those who donated to recognised charitable organisation. and since he donated all of his monthly income, he is not liable for income taxes.
wif no money left every mth, how did he survive? his lodging and transportation and food is provided by his employer as employment benefits. hence he lived his life wif bare minimum, together wif his wife.
but the strange thing is... when he retired, he retired rich, wif at least a million pound!
wonder why?
the charitable organisation was founded by his wife, and he himself is one of the beneficiery of that charitable organisation.
even when the british govt knows abt this, they cant do anything at all. -

Anyway, this year want to donate also difficult.
Only put three different phone numbers up on TV, never state which line how much. -
I'm actually a regular contributor to NKF thru mthly GIRO deductions... I nv call to donate any of the shows(ok maybe once or twice b4 but not this yr) cos I cant stand the fact that the telco is making money out of this supposing charitable event. If ppl are expected to part wif their $$, sponsers can give condo n cars, I really dun understand y the telco cannot forgo their admin fee, jus to treat it as donation.. imagine how much they make one nite.. ard 120k calls, each call earn $0.20 they make a cool $24k... fuckers..
anyway, I think I'll be withdrawing my contribution to NKF... i know ppl say i cant blame them for having reserves.. I'm not, I just get bk to them in 3 yrs time IF they ran out of reserves. Meanwhile I'll pass the donations to other more needy charities during this period... Hope u all do the same as me!

no i did not donate...i dun even have the money to pay for the $0.20 phone charges... haha..donation also have charges...who know next they include GST already..
