comes with DVD-RW both + and -, 120GB HDD, 2.8GHz P4, UXGA monitor, and loads of other crap onboard..
only thing that prevented me from getting it was the $5.8k pricetag -

dun think i need to train my muscles by weight-lifting a C-series....
i dun mind a C-series as desktop replacement..........
but for mobility and my ligament-sake, i can oni go for S-series.......

i'm happy with my XP, but i'm using a P4.
think win2k suits ur config better. -
depends on your system usage. if you just need an OS to type resumes, general surfing and crapping on the internet, check email and play jurassic games like me, then win2k Pro or even Win98 is sufficient. if your work involve digital audio or video productions and hardcore gaming, then xp or mac OS would be appropriate. xp would require more system resource (at least 384MB RAM) for smooth running. running win2k on an entry level (P4, 256MB RAM) would have optimized the performance. for more adventure and hack-proof, try crashing around with linux or solaris on another boot partition. the brand of a notebook should not be a major deciding factor of whether a notebook is good or bad. it depends on your requirements and the price for the kind of system specs(value for money). stability does not depend very much on brand or OS. it depends on the user habbit and whether security patches or virus patterns are constantly updated. a user can have the most expensive system and still crash after getting infected by viruses due to bad email habbit or installing a non compatible hardware/software, then curse and swear at the world's richest man.
