I read the Hobbit when I was twelve followed by the LOTR. I polished off the Silmarillion and the Unfinished Tales before my O Levels and am currently studying the HoME. I am quite a Middle-Earth reader and hence whenever I see the three PJ movies, I cannot help but compare it to the books and my before-hand knowledge. Needless to say I was completely crushed by PJ's, PB's, and FW's interpretation of the third part.
My only consolation is that NewLine Cinema has already stated that the three movies were "based" loosely on LOTR and not an "adaptation" approved of by Christopher Tolkien. That leaves me the books that still remain unsullied and my own interpretations. -
I only bother about the little kids at the back of the seats kpkb, Sibei noisy.
