    • Im not very sure where to get compressed air, uy can try hardware shops to ask around

i feel that buying compresses air is redundant, as the dust can be easily cleaned off using a brush that children use to draw with, get those with a 'stronger' brush at the front

i use it to clean off dust from the circuit boards, and the thin structure of the brush body manages to squeeze into narrower space between the fan and heatsink

If you absolutely have to use a paint brush to remove the dust, use a small one. Otherwise, you may risk zapping your motherboard to death with static electricity.

    • me has to clean a lot of crud out of heatsink spaces.. tried vacuum cleaner, dont work. but since the heatsink is completely aluminium, does that mean i can wash it? i dont mind spraying it down with a garden hose if i can.

    • but using a brush would cause static...

so id prefer using compressed air, to be safe..

u think DIY shop has it??

I flush my heatsink under running water. icon_lol.gif

Folks wanting to do this should always remember to remove the fan first. icon_lol.gif

Not forgetting heatsink grease to spread over the processor before attaching the heatsink.
