    • Guess it's time for a "Winter 2008/09" thread, what with the first snow of the season falling outside right now.

South Dakota got hit pretty hard yesterday, with some areas reporting over 40" of snow on the ground, with drifts of over 10' in blizzard conditions. Here's hoping that MN doesn't experience something like that this winter!

Yup, the first of the season. But no accumulation is expected as the ground is still above freezing.

How can you stand to live in such conditions? confused.png I know I'm not of hardy stock. Hats off. In the meantime, we are enjoying 90 degree weather here. icon_mrgreen.gif

Oh, my. Did the temperature in SD drop below 70°F today?  icon_mrgreen.gif

It was 21°F outside this morning, so I threw on a sweater before heading out.

Don't complain if you're not doing your part in promoting global warming to delay the onset of winter...

Remember to always ask yourself, "What can I do today to increase greenhouse gas emissions? How can I increase my carbon footprint?"

Yes! Methane counts as a greenhouse gas... I think.

If we could harness the methane from cow farts and use it as fuel, we'd be exploiting a new source of energy and adding beneficial greenhouse gases into the atmosphere! icon_mrgreen.gif

    • oh, they are already doing that .....

in winter, when plutonian cattle lives in huge, covered barns ... they have ventilation systems which collect all that methane ...

if not they'll die from their own farts ... muahahahahahaha ....
