      i am putting C$10 on badminton, men's singles.  forgot his name but something like ronald something.  i cheered for him during his last outing in athens.  but i tink he lost in the quarters.

    • hee hee........hanor....got faith.  i've been glued to the teebee following the games.  i was supposed to go to marineland but it rained on us and the QEW had an accident that caused only one lane allowed.  we'll go tmr.

      Singapore hasn't won any gold since 1960s.

      Those Singapore participants, majority of them are not homegrown, most of them are PRCs or Indo.

      These FTs are not here to do Singapore proud, they are more for getting the million dollar pay off that goes with the Olympic gold.

      the best was a silver in weight lifting .....

    • well probably public opinion will change after the person bring in medal.  Jia Wei was  in SG since 14 yrs old althought on condition to play table tennis. I would think that alot of her training or grown up was done in SG.

      So rather than looking at origin perharps since we too are residing in host country we understood her suitation. Although i need to highlight we are not sure it was her personal decision or her family decision to sign her to this deal.

      Li Jia Wei already on the downhill. Moreover her form was never consistent.

       

      Maybe Tao Li stand a chance of silver or bronze.

      Might as well pay more money to get Michael Phelps to take up Singapore citizenship, at least the probability of having 8 Olympic Gold is good.
