I blame one of my former officers .... Maj Kenny ..... Officer, Gentleman, Warrior .... a soldier's soldier ....
he's the first chap whom i've met, who can give you a prep talk about patriotism and love of country while you're dirty and muddy and shivering and soaking wet from a 5am changi beach mua chi session and make you feel all warm and squishy inside .....
many of the boys cried ....
remember that army commercial a few years back ? ...
"the mud on my face is soil .... our soil " .....
believe me, this chap inspired that .....
