    • Cost price of 20 baht sell me at S$20...big business.....

Seen someone that often goes to thailand for amulet competitions learned that the competition people are the authority for deciding whether an amulet is real or fake

For those have not bought too much amulets try not to collect too much as when you go for competition there's a real or fake verification before entering competition

For amulet collectors, u can send your amulet to Thailand amulet association for verfication. They will issue a cert and cost around $50.

any pim that carries a buddha, ahrahat, pu sa, holy monk...they are call amulet.. they is no such thing that call fake amulet..

      u give a amulet a price...u treat holy object as a  goods..

i wonder hw much karma debt would u inccur from that?

    • Due to the high price of some types of amulets...especially metal, ceramic and powder types...

Some people have resorted to imitate them...

Well I cannot tell them apart also...

      I'm not an amulet seller...

Side track a bit...recently on the market got a lot of sarira or relics for cheap sale...but I don't own them since when other people's remains can be sold without permission and pass around like merchandisesad.png

    • if a cow dun drink water u cant really force it to..

u greedy abt easy way to asscess dharma and refuse to put in effort in cultivating...

ur greed thus incur bad karma fruits...and led u to be con and lost some wealth inorder to get a holy image....

seller wrong buyer wrong..... leading each other into more negative karma ties...

I personally have amulet for protection & not for showing off in a competition.

If a person tell u this amulet worth this amount then i would say, it aint real cause when u get an amulet from a temple, the monk only take a token of appreciation in form of red packet or offering of flower/fruits.

    • o.o Never heard of it .. The casing is to protect the amulet againest sweat, knocking into something etc etc but not a barrier to protect u =P

that was my thinking too. but was told that amulet suppose to be in contact with ourselves as much as possible and if we were to case it or frame it up,the strength of our amulet that we wear will be 50% less slower .

Seriously, as long u got buddha in your heart u no wear amulet also nothing will happen.. I dunno why ppl have this type of thinking.. This is something religious not some RPG game 50% power 200% power etc etc .. Always remember pray for peace, safety and things to go smoothly .. nothing more nothing less... I hope u guys are not offended by my post ya.. In the past i used to be like u guys .. "Curiousity kill a cat"

    • yes . its correct that as long as we pray and have faith in Bhuddha its good enough. but sometimes the strength of the amulet of the amulet is important too.

    • The reason being for wearing amulets is to remind us not to do evil things and also act as enhancement. People might say 'buddha in your heart' is enough but sometimes we need something physical to remind us to avoid evil, do good, respect and remember the teaching of dhamma. That's why we have temples with buddha statues inside for us to pay respect and remind us all the times the great dhamma teaching. As the saying goes ' we will forget what we hear but we will remember what we see '.

Yup, it's the same as if u wear amulet but u got no "buddha" in your heart .. So basically.. There's no wat 50% or 100% power
