AT LEAST 5 to 6 times MORE than other countries' leaders, and you think it's alright?
Why don't you try to ask for a pay for your job 5 to 6 times more than what others in your field get paid for? See whether you will get a job or not.
An obvious monopoly created to ensure that the pay is maintained at a 'bubble' level.

i think you typed the thread title wrong, should be Top 30 highest paid politicians of singapore? My reason is that the top 30 shows all singaporean politicians although the title is about Top 30 in the WORLD.

BTW,Singapore GDP at PPP overtook Australia in 1992
and never looked back!!Currently,SG GDP at PPP
is 33 % higher than Oz!!
2.For example,Korea has grown 60 % from 1996 to 2008,SG has grown abt 80%!!
Oz just grew abt 55%!!

GDP is also one of the factors to achieve quality of life!!

2.People will migrate to a country of higher GDP.
Some SG people just go down the slope to a lower GDP country.

But somehow looking at the living standards in Singapore, it's very hard to justify.
