    • Hi every one!!! Do you all think that 2009 budget pakages would acttract most of the current PRs in S'pore will convert to singaporean?

What will be the impact for the coming years if all the PR's little benefit taken away and almost same as normal foreign worker?

For future years, for those who actually want to apply for PR will try to step backward and reconsider...(don know what is the PR's quota impact?)

Goverment actually encourage boots up the s'pore birth rate...,but the problem is ....one side start to move(s'porean)..one side start to slow down( SPR)..so population still maintaning no change,. unless all SPR 100% convert to s'porean otherwise those not interested in convertion will pull hand brake on contributing to birth rate...

hey hey all these are just my opinion...what u all think???

    • If the citizen have to bear expenses for the PR, then its still a lose lose situation

2 edged sword.  The best approach would be to improve the life of citizens and give them more benefits then u can attract foreigners to become citizens. an example of this is seen in western countries.

Introduce a commonwealth taxation scheme then,

let the CPF be invested as decided by the citizens

    • PR and citizenship has not much difference in Singapore, unlikely other country. Singapore government should Tax more on PR since they work and spend here. If the money still attractive to them, they will stay...just like other country.

U will get fired too, if u say to yr eomplyer that u have reservist call up or pregnant

Now tell me,  is there something wrong fundamentally, or its just your job performance?

Any employer in singapore can fire u just like that due to reservist and pregnancy by saying your job performance is not good.

Come on... its not as if some males no need to do reservist... all males need to do reservists, so i believe the playing field is level... as level as changi airport.

No, i don't think it will be in the annual budget. Singaporeans wouldn't take to it favourably. If they want to entice PR to convert they will just let the PR know and not publicise the incentives openly.
