    • Effectively, I not sure how to describe the 3 opposition members in parlimern.

I not sure how effective have they been.

Every few years, singaporeans given chance to vote and each time, a few hundred thousand of them voted and indicated they don't wish to allow opposition enter the podium.

This has been so endlessly for almost 50 years now.

Any future election can lead to a 0 win for opposition. the chances are extremely high. Everytime many turnout for rally. They never win.

Now, the ruling have many more activists. I think opposition run out of ideas.

It may be their last election if they lose ppasir. will hg last under the hands of ltk?

how effective can he be?  how can he out strategise? i sense a cyberwar already in action.

    • i love pap, i hope they win all 84 seats next general election. my secondary school social studies book says that a 1 party state is better than true democracy. it also taught me that our government is very smart at implementing policies, for example, our population problems, they have given many incentives for reproduction and also relaxed immigration policies to help keep the workforce large enough to support an ageing population. Our gahmen has also helped provide us wonderful housing and CPF schemes to benefit us. They have also taken many measures to keep our aged citizens comfortable after retirement. Most people agree with me but some of my friends who are pro opposition says that i have been severely brainwashed but i think they are just crazy and they might get into trouble. And i love my social studies text book although some say it is propaganda.

    • to be fair, the current situation (if it can even be considered a situation) is due to the 66.6% of those who could vote.

Imagine they have to do it everyday somemore.

And if sick, no meals for the day.

Sometimes, I really wonder where my money to community chest goes to. Really got so many such old folks that there's not enough $$ to feed all them for 2~3 meals a day?

I wish you happiness when you have to pay the annuity and never will get your money back unless you live past 80.   Happy giving money to Pay and Pay.   Happy bloodsucking by them.

    • I was originally a pro opposition, but during my secondary school days, i defiantly state the flaws of our gahmen in my exam paper and they included how it was PAP fault in the first place for reduced birthrate during late 80s on the 2 child policy. but my school teacher decided to put me to detention and called my parents and send me for counseling. after much counselling, my iq suddenly decreased to 85 and i begin to love our gahmen. for the protection of my "benefactors" i shall not name my school and reveal any information regarding who is involved in changing my life for good.

    • I used to think that 2 or more parties as the ruling govt is good as there will be more vibrant and challenging, but then on the other hands, when i see other countries having lots of party having chaotic and power struggling problem rather than solving social issues, I decided that one party is also good in a sense that there will be less chaotic and better stability.

However if there are good opposition party other than the present ruling party, i may consider to go for them, but it seem that opposition parties in singapore are also half standard type.
