    • I find that Lee Hsien Loong, as a leader lacks the neccessary charisma and oratory skills. He just doesnt have the seh. Look at cult figures like John F Kennedy, winston Churchill, Obama or even Hitler. All of them commanded respect and had a certain magic in them. They could command the masses and stir up feelings in the people. Everyone in the country at that time would turn on their tvs just to watch John F Kennedy speak. Such was their ability to draw the masses in with their charisma in their speech. Hitler for example, spoke with such fervour that captivated the entire germany. Look at LHL, nothing. Its a bore. No one seriously cares about him. My friend, who’s in the same company as LHL’s son, commented that when he came to visit as a parent in the POP ceremony, he hardly had any presence of any sort usually associated with leaders. I feel disgusted in my country for having a leader like him. I’m sure if not for his dad, he wouldnt even make it as a manager in a SME.

    • I nearly puke when I read charisma Lee Hsien loong as the title for the thread.   When I read further then  I know what you mean.

VEry paiseh let foreigners know he is our PM.

He is no PM material, incompetent, arrogant, not down to earth, can't be bothered to reach down to the common people level to understand the nation.    What every country needs is a govt that is for the people and not self serving.

there is a different between soft spoken and totally lack the abilities to demonstrate with time to civilian leadership.

      ... listen to his speech?

... no thanks, you go ahead...my stomach not that strong anymore...

... all the sweet talks, lacking all the walks, all the 'nice paintings' about how Singapore can pull through and how wealthy the state is to weather hard times, self-gratifying & public-psychosis will be the usual order for that day...

... I am sparing myself from certain severe nausea, if you can, spare yourself the crap he will fill your ears with...!

    • Good observation. He lacks the neccessary charisma and oratory skills. That's why many will find him uninspiring and unconvincing. And clearly his value is not paralleled to the amount that he's currently drawing. The best is not at the highest, nepotism is killing Singapore and Singaporeans.

    • I don't think that he can prove himself as long as Lee Kuan Yew, his father is still alive.

The best is that Lee Kuan Yew dies.

    • A good leader is a person who can inspire, if he can't, many will be wondering what he's doing up there.

One mountain cannot keep two tigers.

One PAP cannot have two Lees.

    • There will be no SM and MM if we are following real democracy. Imagine George Bush after finished his terms refused to go and wanting to be senior president and president mentor. Do you think citizens will allow that to happen without going to washington to protest?

    • One thing that baffles me is that they pay themselves millions because they are the elite of elite and super talented ministers.

But if elite and super talented, why they still need a minister mentor?

I got the feeling that PAP regime is taking the entire Singapore people for a ride.

LHL says he can also become a PM on his own merit without living on his father shadow
